The General Office of Restoration (GOR) is the governing body on the planet Ishtar, established in the aftermath of the devastating System War that spanned three centuries. Following the end of the System War, Ishtar was left in a state of ruin, with its technological level regressed to that resembling 20th-century Earth. Amidst the chaos, the Core Planets instituted the GOR to oversee the recovery efforts on Ishtar. The GOR’s mandate included rebuilding infrastructure, re-establishing communication networks, and maintaining order as Ishtar grappled with the presence of Razak—beasts and monsters left over from the war.
Role and Functions
The GOR operates as a unified government, albeit mostly ceremonial, and is responsible for the following:
